Pictorial Language
I have attempted to created a universal language based on symbols. The idea is, that this language would be taught with a set of rules, just like every other language in the world. The rules allow for the language/symbols to be efficiently legible and consistent. If this language was taught from a young age, I believe this would be an easy language to understand and use. I originally intended for this language to be universal, allowing two different people, on different ends of the earth with different cultural backgrounds to communicate through symbols. However there are many instances in which the symbols will not translate across due to cultural differences, or lack of knowledge and understand of the symbols. The small set of symbols I have created are aimed at a western culture. Any symbols which aren't legible in other culture's could be replaced with a new symbol which makes sense to those reading it. Please feel free to read the rules of which my idea is based and attempt to understand the 7 sentences I have created, in order to test the effectiveness of my symbols and rules, and to help me discover where the sentences begin to get confusing and become illegible.
